Border Castle Soldiers – sculpture composition

The maker, Kisfaludi Strobl Zsigmond (also the student of Stróbl Alajos) had the plan of the sculpture composition depicting the fight of Hungarian solders and the Turkish horseman already in 1930, however, its realisation only came later. The work of art, originally planned to go somewhere else, was finally placed in the south-west corner of Dobó Square, in front of the Town Hall, in September 1967. In its historical monuments authority permission, the present location of the statute was considered temporary.
