Baroque residential building, former Csepregi House

At the location known today as Dobó István tér 3., in the place of the building currently standing at the corner of Gerl Mátyás utca (Gerl Mátyás Street), there had been a house as early as in the first half of the 18th century – owned by Greek merchants. The current building is presumed to have been built by a local chirurgus (surgeon) Pál Csepregi between 1785 and 1787. The niche installed in the façade facing Dobó tér features a nondescript statue of Saint Anthony, presumably created in the 20th century.
